The SLRD, in partnership with a number of Gun Lake residents, has been working with Cariboo Carbon Solutions (CCS) on an initiative that could see up to 500,000 seedling trees replanted on private properties affected by the 2023 Downton Lake wildfire. CCS will develop replanting plans in collaboration with individual landowners to best suit the replanting needs of your property. We encourage all affected residents to indicate their willingness to participate in this program. Additional information is available on the Frequently Asked Questions.

To participate, property owners must complete a CCS Private Landowner Intake form to confirm interest in this program. Please email the completed form to: andrew@cariboocarbon.ca.
