Graph 5: In 2020 and 2022, the SLRD commissioned composition studies to better understand the waste sent to the Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre. The 2022 report revealed that: among the materials being sent to landfill, 19% were recyclable in British Columbia, 31% were compostable and merely 50% constituted actual garbage.
